Tara jumped a superb double clear to win the Grade C Championship.

Arena UK 25th-27th July 09
Tara jumped an outstanding double clear in the HOYS Amatuer Qualifier and finished 2nd out of a field of 220 to Qualify. Well done to Tara and TRevor and fingers crossed now for the Foxhunter 2nd Round on Monday.
I have just spoken to Trevor had he said Tara jumped an outstanding round in a very big Foxhunter 2nd round. Unfortunately she just had a foot in the water, she was so unlucky as he said she was not close to touching a pole. We are pleased though as it was a strong 1.40m track.

Dumfries Show, 1st August 09
Tara had an unlcuky 4 faults in the HOYS Grade C qualifier, just touching a back bar in the combination.

Addington, British Young Horse Championships 4th-7th Aug 09
Tara was unlucky not to qualify for the championship at this show, just narrowly missing out on the points table. She jumped well in the consolation class however, finishing with a clear and an unlucky pole in the jump off.

Rowallan, 12th Sept 09
Tara popped round the Foxhunter/1.20 with a nice double clear just not quite quick enough for a prize.

Scottish HOYS, 25th-27th Sept 09
Tara had a jump in the 1.30m open in the Friday, jumping well with an unlucky back bar down. She also jumped the 1.30m open on the Sunday, she jumped a fantastic clear in the first round, unfortunately a wee difference of opinions in the jump off ended up in Trevor taking a tumble. Neither horse nor rider are worse of wear. They will be heading to KA Area show next weekend end for the last comp before HOYS.

Scottish HOYS, 25th-27th Sept 09
Jumped jumped a lovely round in the 1.20m open on the Friday, he was really unlucky just to tip a back bar. The Sunday was then going to be his night in the Puissance, he has the scope to jump a house and we were really looking forward to seeing what he could do. However, as things go with horses sometimes, he had the back bar off the fence in the first round and was unable to go any further.

Kingsbarn, 29th November 09
Jack jumped an absolutely outstanding round in the Foxhunter, he was clear all bar a bit of a spook and a spin at the new cafe!! Trevor then decided to jump him in his first 1.30m open. Again he jumped the most amazing orund, just having a fence down at the jump on the way to that very spooky cafe again! Both Sarah and Trevor are delighted with his performaces today!

Ingliston Premier, 3rd-6th December 09
Big Jack had probably his best show ever! It was great to see as it was a big ask, with the techinical tracks, atmosphere, competition etc. He jumped a great double clear in the Foxhunter on the Thursday, he finished 15th out of more than 120!!! He then jumped very well in the Friday foxhunter, being very unlucky to rub a back bar in the combination. However on the Saturday he jumped an outstanding double clear in the 1.25m open. He finished in 12th place which was great in an open class at a premier show!! Delighted all round!!

Howe Country Centre, 17th Jan 2010
It was Big Jack first show this year, after a few easy weeks over Christmas and New Year. He was quite lively in the morning, I think he was glad to be back out and about! He was very unlucky to have the last fence down in the 1.20m having jumped a great round. He then also did the 1.30 m open. This time it was the 2nd fence he just tightened a little behind over the oxer, however after that he jumped a very very good round.

Ingliston Equestrian, 29th-31st Jan 10
Big Jack jumped well again at Ingliston but had a bit of an unlucky show. In Fridays Foxhunter, he had a little look at the middle bit of the combination and had it down. It was a very spooky and he did a good job to jump out well. He had a quiet day on the Saturday and just went a hack. Back at the show on the Sunday he jumped a brilliant clear round in the Foxhnter, with unfortunately one time fault!

Rowallan Activity Centre, 6th Feb 10
Big Jack had an unlcuky fence off in the Foxhunter, but he jumped a nice relaxed round.

Rowallan Development Classic, 12th-14th Feb 2010
Big Jack again had a good, if slightly unlucky show. In Fridays foxhunter he jumped a lovely clear, with an unlucky fence off in the jump off. In Saturdays winter novice qualifier he had an unfortunate fence off. And then in the 1.25m open on the Sunday he jumped a beautiful clear round, with one time fault!

Kingsbarn Equestrian Centre, 6th March 2010

Ingliston Equestrian, 13th-14th March 2010
Big Jack was a great boy again this weekend. On the Saturday he jumped a brilliant round in the Winter Novice Championship Qualifier, he was very unlucky just to tip one fence. On the Sunday he jumped a fabulous frst round clear in the British Open Showjumping Championships Amatuer Qualifier. There was 21 clear rounds and it was fast and furious in the jump off, they had a real go and he just touched a back in preparation for a very tight turn. He still ended up getting placed in a very tough class, and he coped very well with having to go so fast in the jump off!

Rowallan, 27th-28th March 10
Big Jack had another good show this weekend at Rowallan. He was 2nd in both Saturday and Sundays Newcomers class. He jumped very well and thoroughly desrved his bags of apples from his mummy!

Rowallan, 2nd-3rd April 2010
Big Jack had another great show at Rowallan this weekend, both days having the fastest 4 faults in the jump off of the Newcomers class. He jumped great though and now thouroughly deserves just a wee rub of luck.

Big Jack jumped a lovely double clear in the Foxhunter to finish 4th.

SNEC, 25th April 10
Big Jack jumped a lovely double clear in the newcomers, if a little spooky, to finish 5th. One more to get and that is him qualified for the regionals!

Strathallan, 1-2 May 2010
Big Jack had another good show @Strathallan. On the Saturday he had an unlucky fence in the jump off of the newcomers, finishing in 6th place. Then on the Sunday he was so unlucky to touch the back bar in the jump off of the Royal Highland SHow foxhunter qualifier or he would have been 2nd!! He finished in 7th place. He then jump a superb clear in the RHS Grade C qualifier. By the jump off eh was a bit tired and had a couple down, but all in all he had a fantastic first outdoor show of the year.

Ayr Show, 9th May 2010

Serial K (Jack D), 2002 16.3hh Bay Gelding owned by Denise Sharp

Serial K @ Cavan Nov 09 Arena UK 25th - 27th July 09
Jack D jumped well on the Saturday being placed in the 1.20m open warm up. He then went onto jump clear in the Newcomers 2nd Round. In the middle round, which was a strong 1.40m track he was very unlucky just to rub the last fence off. He still ended up getting placed 15th out of 187 in the class. Trevor decided to give him the Sunday off in preparation for the Foxhunter 2nd Round on Monday.

Dumfries Show, 1st August 2009
JavkD was unlucky to have 4 faults in the HOYS Grade C qualifier, he just touched a back bar.

Addington, British Young Horse Championships, 4th-7th Aug 09
JackD went exceptionally well to qualify for the Championship on the Friday. He then jumped an outstanding clear round. He was 2nd to go in the jump off and unfortunately had both bits of a double down after a tight turn to finish on 8 flts. However this still left him in 11th place, which is very good out of all the 7 yr olds in Britain. It was also the strongest track he has jumped, with the last half of the jump off course being 1.55m.

Ingliston Equestrian Centre, 14th-16th August 09
JackD jumped a great double clear in the 1.30m open on the Friday night. On the Saturday it was the 7&8 yr old HOYS Qualifier, he was so unlucky to have the 2nd last fence down, he just lent a toe on the back bar. He then got a well deserved day off on the Sunday!

Rowallan Activity Centre, 21st August 2009
JackD jumped well in the Foxhunter getting a lovely double clear and finishing in 2nd place. That is the 1st of his Foxhunter double clear qualifications out the way for this year, just another 3 to go.

Rowallan, 11th-12th Sept 09
JackD jumped the 2nd of his needed Foxhunter double clears on Friday finishing in 3rd place. He then went onto jump double clear again on the Saturday, this time finishing just out of the prizes.

Scottish HOYS, 25th-27th Sept 09
JackD jumped the 1.30m open on the Friday, he had a lovely first round clear and a really unlucky fence in the jump off. He went back on the Sunday again for the 1.30m open, he jumped as well as I have ever known of him but with no luck just rubbing one fence off.

KA Area Show, 3rd October 09
JackD jumped a lovely first round clear in the Foxhunter but was unlucky to have a fence int he jump off, he finished in 6th place.

Rowallan, 23-24 October 09
JackD jumped a great double clear in the Foxhunter on the Friday, not being fast enough for a prize. He was then unlucky to have the first fence down on the Saturday.

Cavan International, Ireland - 4th-8th November 09
Trevor and JackD went to their 1st International competition at the weekend and had a very successful outing. In the speed the 1st day they were very unlucky to have the last fence down or they would have finished in the top 6. Which, for anyone who has seen a speed in Ireland would know, is no mean feat!! On the 2nd day they finished 10th in the speed, which was great. Trevor then decided to jump the big class on the Saturday night. It was a strong 1.45m-1.50m track. JackD jumped a brilliant round, he was clear til the last line which was past a packed bar and grand stand. He just showed his age and greenness at this level a littel and had 2 bits of the line down. Otherwise a fantastic performance. By the Sunday he was a little tired and had a fence in the speed and as a result we decided not to jump the Grand Prix. JackD certainly showed over the weekend that he is more than capable of making the step up to this next level and some!!

SNEC, 14th November 09
JackD jumped a lovely double clear in the Foxhunter. A nice little sweetner for him after the big step up last weekend.

HOWE Country Centre, 21st November 09
JackD jumped great in the 1.30m open to finish in 6th Place.

Kingsbarn, 29th November 09
Well JackD jumped his final foxhunter double clear today and finished in 4th place. He then went onto to come a very close 2nd in the 1.30m open. A good day all in all.

Ingliston Premier, 3rd-6th Dec 09
JackD jumped very well at this fantastic show. He had an unlucky fence in the 1.30m open on the Thursday night. He then jumped an outstanding double clear in the Winter Grade C Qualifier. He finished in 4th place out of a jump off of more than 25. Unfortunately only the first 3 Qualified for the Final at the British Open Championships! He then went back for the B&C Qualifier for the Royal International Horse Show, he jumped a great round and was so unlucky to have the last fence down. He is going to get a well deserved wee break over Christmas now and then will be back to flying high for the next lopt of Premier Shows in January.

Howe Country Centre, 18th January 2010

Little Jack was also fresh for his first show out in a while. He jumped great winning the 1.20m open in fine style. He then jumped very well too in the 1.30m, just touching the back bar of the last fence in the jump off or he would have been 2nd. However a good day for his first show in a wee while, lets hope the red rosette sets the tone for the rest of the season!

Ingliston Equestrian, 29th-31st January 10
Little Jack jumped well on the Friday 1.30m but was unlucky to have one down. He too had an easy hack out on the Saturday in preparation for Sunday's Royal Highland Show Grade C qualifier. He jumped a lovely 1st round clear and then was jumping a blistering jump off round and would have won it out the park, if not for only just touching the final fence after a very tight turn. It was good experience for him to start having a play about in the ring with some more taxing questions and lines.

Rowallan Activity Centre, 7th Feb 10
Little Jack jumped agreat round in the 1.30 m open, but he was a little fresh and had the last fence down.

Rowallan Development Classic, 12th-14th Feb 2010
Little Jack had a great show at Rowallan. In the Blue Chip B& C Qualifier on the Friday he jumped a flying double clear to finish in 3rd and qualifying for the Championships in April. On the Saturday he jumped another very fast double clear in the Winter Grade C qualifier for the British Open. Unfortunately he was not quiet fast enough and finished in 4th, missing qualifying by just one place, for the 2nd time this season!! On the Sunday Trevor decided to jump him in the 1.40m Grand Prix. It turned out to be an A10 class, which means it gets progressively higher as the course goes on, meaning they were finishing jumping round a 1.55m track. Little Jack jumped very well. After having flying against the clock the previous 2 days he was a little quick to start with and had a fence, but after that he settled and jumped an outstanding round. Really proving that he is ready for bigger and better things to come this season.

Kingsbarn Equestrian Centre, 6th March 2010
Little Jack jumped a lovely 1st round clear in the 1.30m open. In the jump off he was going great and was on for winning the class out the park, when they turned extremely tight back to a fence and Jack turned so tight he stoped actually moving forward, as it was a huge oxer they had to turn a wee circle before coming back to it. Such a shame as it was such a great round as he is turning much better and is getting used to going against the clock now.

Ingliston Equestrian, 13th-14th March 2010
Little Jack too had a good weekend at Ingliston. On the Saturday he was clear in the 1.30 m open and was unlucky to touch a fence in the jump off finishing in 6th place. On the Sunday he was in the British Open SHowjumping Championship Amatuer qualifier and he too jumped a first round clear. He was quite late on to go in the jump off of 21 and they knew exactly how fast they needed to go and set off flying! It paid off and they finished in 3rd and qualified for the Championships! Im really pleased as twice now they had missed by one place in the Grade C qualifiers, so maybe it goes to show - 3rd time lucky!

Rowallan, 26th & 27th Mar 10
Little Jack had an unlucky show at Rowallan this weekend. He jumped a good clear in Saturdays 1.30 open and had the fastest time with the last fence down in the jump off to finish 4th. He was also 4th on the Sunday again with an unfortunate fence down. Better getting the unlucky 4 faults before we head to Birmingham next week for the British Open.

Rowallan, 2nd April 10
Little Jack just had a wee spin round the 1.25m open at Rowallan, he jumped well just touching a back bar in the jump off. It was good preparation for Wednesday at the British Open!

British Open Championships, 7th April 10
A big well done to Trevor and Little Jack who finished 7th at the British Open. They jumped very well, and we were really pleased how Jack reacted to the big occassion, he was not spooky and jumped great.

SNEC, 25th April 10
Little Jack was a bit cheeky in the 1.30m open, having a wee spook at the water, however he did jump very well.

Strathallan, 1st-2nd May 10
Little Jack jumped a great double clear in Saturdays 1.30m open and finished in 4th place. On Sunday he jumped great in the Star of the Future Royal Highland Show Qualifier and qualified for the final.

Ayr Show, 9th May 2010
Little Jack jumped a flying double clear in the Royal Highland Show Grade C qualifier to finish 2nd and qualify for the final.

Drymen Show, 29th May 2010
Well done to Trevor and Little Jack who won the Scottish Grade C Championship in fine style!

Mullingar **International, 5th-7th June 2010
Little Jack had a great show at Mullingar. In the speed class on Saturday he jumped a lovely clear round and finished in 9th place. He jumped in the big class on the Sunday and was very unlucky to touch a back bar, it was a big class and he was unlucky to finish just out the placings. On the Monday he jumped in the Grand Prix, which was the biggest class he will ever have jumped. He rubbed a silly verticle at number 3 then jumped an outstanding round. Trevor was delighted with the way he went as he easily stepped up to this level. As there was only 6 clear rounds he finished in the prize money which was a great result for his 1st International Grand Prix.

Mullingar was a fantastic show, with helpful friendly people and a great atmosphere, we will be putting it as a definate in our diary next year!

Rowallan, 19th June 2010
Little Jack jumped great in Saturdays South West Scotland Championship to finish 4th.

Royal Highland Show, 24th-27th June 2010
Little Jack had an unluvky show at the Highland. In Saturdays Star of the Future final he just tipped tha back bar of the first fence. He was the fastest four faults so finished 8th. In the Grade C final on the Sunday he just rubbed the last fence! All in all just an unlucky weekend!

Arena UK, 23-26 July 10
Little Jack had a great show at Arena UK and was very unlucky not to gain his HOYS place. He was fast enough to qualify in the 7&8 yr old qualifier and was really unlucky to rub a back bar. then in the Foxhunter regional final he jumped a fantastic treble clear, however was not quite quick enough to qualify. However he haa now qualified for Scope where he stands a chance to earn his wild card place. So fingers crossed!!

cabin Equestrian centre, 30-31 July 2010
Little Jack had his first trip back to Aberdeen since moving from his owner, Denise Sharpe yard down to our yard in Stewarton. He had a school in Fridays 1.20m open to have a sweetner after his couple of big classes last weekend, however it turned out to be good enough to win. On the Friday night he got to go back a stay in his own stable, as Denise and Andrew kindly put us up for the weekend. On the Saturday he jumped a lovely first round clear in the North East Scotland Championship and was unlucky to have a fence in the jump off, which cost him first place and finished with him in third.

Dumfries, 7th August 2010
Little Jack jumped a class double clear in the HOYS Grade C qualifier on saturday, he was so unfortunate to miss qualifying by one place. He missed out by 100th of a second!!

Ingliston, 9th August 2010
Again little Jack jumped class in the Foxhunter 2nd round. He had a lovely 1st round clear, and was so unlucky just to touch the back bar of the 2nd last fence in the middle round. Last chance saloon at Scope now for the Foxhunter.

Jazzmania, 2005 Dark Bay Mare, owned by Aileen Field

HOWE Counry Centre, 17th October 09
Jazz has been at our yard a couple of weeks now. She went to Howe and jumped a lovely well balanced double clear in the British Novice and finished in 2nd place. She is really improving and was looking very scopey at the weekend.

Rowallan, 23-25th October 09
Jazz went straight into the Discovery on the Friday, she jumped a fantastic 1st round clear and was unlucky to have the last fence down int eh jump off or she would have won the class! On the Saturday she had a clear and one down in the British Novice and an unlucky fence in the Discovery. Then on the Sunday she again had just one down int eh British Novice however by this point she was very tired! We then decided not to jump her in the Discovery as she had been a wee star all weekend and deserved a well earned rest.

Rowallan, 19th June 2010
Jazz had her first show back out jumping in a while. She jumped the British Novice on the Saturday, she had a lovely first round clear and was so unlucky to touch the last fence behind in the jump off or she would have won the class.

Champions of Scotland, 4th July 2010
Jazz jumped well at Howe Country Centre, she had an unlucky 4 faults at the last fence in the Discovery. Trevor then jumped her in the 1.05m, she jumped and rubbed a fence, just being a little green. SHe certainly didnt sttruggle for jump though and she is looking to be improving everytime out.

SNEC, 17th July 2010
The jumping was outside at Oatridge with a blowing gale. They were using black bin bags full of sand to hold down the jump wings. In the first class Jazz found this a bit spooky and spooked off them coming round the corner, however by the next class she was able to deal with it better and was unlucky to have four faults.

The Cabin Equestrian Centre, 30-31 July 10
Jazz jumped well on her return to Aberdeen. On the Friday she was 3rd in the 1.05 open with a lovely clear round. On the Saturday she jumped a lovely clear in the Discovery and just rubbed a verticle in the jump off.

Hillside Cavalier (Jarvis), 16.1hh Dark Bay Gelding owned by Edith Clark

Rowallan Activity Centre, 21st-23rd Aug 09
This was Jarvis' 1st show with Trevor after only being in the yard for a week. He went great in the 1.05m open on the Saturday jumping clear and finishing in 5th place. Trevor then jumped him in the 1.20m Grand Prix on the Sunday. This class was actually closer to 1.30m!! But again Jarvis jumped great and was unlucky to have a brick out the wall, but it was great considering he hasnt done anything for a little while.

Rowallan 12th Sept 09
Jarvis jumped a great double clear in the Foxhunter/1.20 and he was fast enough to win in fine style.

Rowallan 13th Sept 09

It was another fantastically busy fun night for the Area with a great atmosphere for all the classes. Jarvis jumped a great round in the speed class, unfortunately the last fence came as a bit of a shock to him and he had an uncharacteristic stop. He jumped a great round bar that.

KA Area Show, 3rd October 09
Jarvis jumped a good clear in the 1.20m open, having an unlucky 4 faults in the jump off.

Attyrory Ritchy (2003) 16.2hh, dark bay gelding owned by The Craig Family

Howe Country Centre, 17th January 2010
I jumped Ritch in the Discovery, mainly because the show was quiet and we missed the british Novice! He went a little green in the ring, so did I I think if I am being truthfull!! He jumped very well though and we were unlucky just to have one down.

Ingliston Equestrian, 29th - 31st January 10
Ritch was a good lad again at Ingliston, jumping well in both Fridays British Novice and Discovery. We were unlucky just to rub a fence in each, but I was delighted with the way he jumped and was glad that I was starting to feel a little more confident. We returned on the Sunday again and this time just did the Blue Chip qualifer. By this time Rich was pretty tired as he has been working pretty hard this last couple of weeks. He unfortunately touched the 2nd last fence, but I was happy enough with him.

Ingliston Equestrian Intro Show, 20th Feb 2010
Rich jumped a good round in the 90cm having an unlucky fence. We then went clear in the British Novice, jumping a lovely round. In the jump off we had a wee run against the clock and he was great, turning up well. Fingers crossed now that we have had enough practice for next weeks 'Sportjumping' class at Gleneagles!

Kingsbarn Equestrian Centre, 6th March 2010
I had been away teaching in the morning so had to rush up to Kingsbarn in time to jump. Richy was a good boy and we were very unlucky to have the 2nd last fence down in the Discovery.

Ingliston Equestrian, 12th March 2010
As I was teaching all weekend I just popped over to Ingliston to jump on the Friday. Richy was a good lad, I jumped the British Novice which I think in all fairness was a little small for him as he didnt pay a huge amount of attention and touched a couple of fences. However in the Discovery he jumped alot better just being really unlucky to rub an early little verticle. I think it is time for both of us now to move up to the Newcomers!

Zambezi (Sparky), 16hh Bay Galeding, owned by Denise Sharpe

Howe Country Centre, 17th January 2010
Sparky too had to go straight into the Discovery. He jumped a great round, being unlcuky just to rub the 1st fence, however after that jumped like a little star!

Ingliston Equestrian, 29th-31st January 10
Sparky was a good lad again this weekend, but he too had an unlucky run. He jumped the British Novice and Discovery on the Friday and was unlucky to have a fence in each. On the Sunday he too just jumped the Blue Chip qualifier again for one down. He jumped well and now just needs a littel bit of luck.

Rowallan Activity Centre, 7th-8th Feb 10
Sparky improved again this weekend, in Saturdays British Novice he was clear with the last fence down in the jump off or he would have been 2nd. Then on the Sunday he went straight into the Discovery agina jumping clear with one down in the jump off. He is learning everytime which is great.

Rowallan, 27th March 2010
Sparky jumped well on Saturday being unlucky just to rub one fence off in the Discovery.

Rowallan, 2nd April 2010
Sparky jumped a great clear round in saturdays Discovery class, and finished just out the prizes.

SNEC, 25th April 10
Sparky jumped very well in teh 1.05m open and was unlucky to rub the last fence.

Strathallan, 1st May 2010
Sparky was great at his 1st outdoor show of the year, he had one down in the Discovery, but jumped well and loved the grass!

Aros Z (Blair), Chestnut Gelding owned by Lorna and Alastair Sim

Ingliston Equestrian 29th-31st January 10
Blair has come to us for a few weeks education in order to get him back up and going for his usual rider, Alastair, to get to some more shows. He jumped the British Novice on the Friday and was good, he was a littel spooky so had a fence but all in all he was good, and learnt alot. He went back on the Sunday for the Blue Chip Qualifier, he was a bit spooky again in the collecting ring but when he got in the ring he was great, he had an unlucky fence but all in jumped a much better round.

Rowallan Activity Centre, 7th-8th Feb 10
Blairs additional weeks training paid off when he jumped a brilliant double clear in Staurdays british novice to finish in 2nd place. He then went straight into the Discovery on Sunday, he was a little bit sharper on the Sunday so unfortunately had a fence down.

Master Class 66, Imp, 17.1hh 9yr old Bay Gelding, Owned by Mandy McConnechy

Rowallan Activity Centre, 27th-28th March 2010
This was Trevors first show with Imp, who has previously evented with his owner, Mandy. He jumped the newcomers on both Saturday and Sunday. He jumped fantastically both days, finishing 5th on the Saturday and then have an unlucky blip at the first fence on Sunday then jumping a superb round. Trevor has high hopes for Imp in the future, so here's to looking forward to the summer.

Rowallan, 2nd & 3rd April 10
Imp was a good lad at the weekend, he jumped double clear in the Newcomers on both Saturday and Sunday. He finished 7th on the Sat and 4th on the Sunday. And that is him now half way to qualified for the Newcomers Regional Finals.

Howe Country Centre, 11th April 2010
Imp jumped a lovely clear in the 1.15m open. He was unlucky to touch a back bar in the jump off, just turning across a fence which he has yet to learn.

SNEC, 25th April 10
Imp jumped a brilliant double clear in Sundays newcomers to finish 2nd. One more double clear to get for the regionals.

Strathallan, 1-2 May 2010
Imp also had a good show, on the Saturday he had an unlucky fence in the Newcomers. On the Sunday he jumped fantastic in the Royal Highland Show Foxhunter, he had the fastest time in the jump off with one down, last to go pushed him out of the qualifying places! He also jumped in the Grade C qualifier, again jumping very well but being unlucky to just rub the same fence he had in the Fox jump off.

Rowallan 8th May 2010
Imp jumped his last double clear in the Newcomers to finish 2nd and that is him now qualified for the Regional Finals.

Ayr Show, 9th May 2010
Imp Jumped a flying double clear in the 1.20m Derby but was unfortunate for the last to go to knock him out of the prizes, in what was a red hot jump off!

Rowallan, 19th-20th June 2010
I jumped Imp in the HOYS Amatuer qualifier on the Saturday. We made up a little too much ground in the first distance and had it down, then he jumped a great round. He is such a lovely horse to ride, I felt confident to jump him round the biggest class I have jumped since my accident. He was a real gent and lovely to ride. Trevor then took the riens back again for Sundays Newcomers regional final, he only breathed on the back bar of the last fence and was so unlucky to have it down. He jumped fantastic and thouroughly deserved to be in the second round.

Dalry Show, 15th-16th May 10
Imp was 5th in Saturdays foxhunter and 6th in the Royal Highald Show Foxhunter on the Sunday, for the 2nd time the last to go in the jump off knocked him out of qualifying!!

Champions of Scotland, 4th July 2010
The weather was so wild on the Sunday at Champions that we felt it was unfair to jump outside, therefore Imp just jumped in the 1.10m championship indoors. He was unlucky to have 4 faults.

Cabopino (Georgie), 17hh 7yr old Grey Mare by Limmerick owned by Willie and Aileen Craig

Howe Country Centre, 11th April 2010
This was Georgie's first show having only ever hunted in Ireland. She had a spook at the 1st fence in the British Novice and then jumped a lovely clear round. In the Discovery she jumped a fabulous first round clear, by the time of the jump off she was knackered! She had the back bar off the last fence, but all in all she was perfect for her first show.

Sportjumping, Gleneagles, 24th April 10
I really enjoyed the 1st of this new concept. I jumped Georgie in the 1m class and she jumped a super clear round and we finished 10th. I really hope everyone gets behind the sportjumping concept as I think it could really help to promote our sport.

SNEC, 25th April 10
I jumped Georgie on the Sunday and again she was great, we were 5th in the Discovery and then did the 1.05m open. She jumped a brilliant 1st round clear, in the jump off I had a little bit of a miss back to an oxer and we were unlucky to touch off the back bar. All in all though I am delighted with her and the way she jumped this weekend.

Strathallan, 1st May 2010
I jumped Georgie in the early riser @ Strathallan and she jumped a great double clear and finished 3rd.

Rowallan, 8th May 2010
Georgie jumped a brilliant double clear in the Discovery and we won!

Rowallan, 19th June 2010
This was the first show I jumped Georgie at in a wee while since she had an over reach. We had a pop round the British Novice for 4 faults, she was a good girl.

Champions of Scotland, 4th July 2010
Trevor jumped Georgie for me in the 1.05m Championship. She was a little cheeky and had spook at the combination which resulted in her having 2 bits of it down.

SNEC, 17th July 2010
Trevor jumped Georgie at Oatridge because of the spooky black bags! She was clear in the Discovery with 4 faults in the jump off and again clear and 4 in the 1.05m open. All in all I was really pleased with her as it was a tough day for her and she jumped well.

Arena UK 23-26 July 10
Georgie went to Arena UK to gain a bit of experience, it did her the world of good and culminated with her finishing 2nd in Monday's British Novice.

The Cabin Equestrian Centre, 30-31 July 10
Georgie was unlucky on the Friday, and then on Saturday jumped a great double clear in the Discovery to finish 2nd.

Hannah Hunter & Sky Royalty (Mags)

Very well done to Hannah and Mags who did there 1st ever Working Hunter at Blair International Horse Trials on 27th August 2009. They jumped one of only 8 clear rounds out of 75 entries!! After the show they finished in 6th place, a fantastic result, well done both!!!!

KA Area Show 3rd October 09
Well done again to Hannah and Mags who won there first ever sash on Saturday, after getting 3rd place in the British Novice and being the highest placed area member.

Ingliston Equestrian, 31st January 10
Due to work commitments, Hannah was only able to come to the show on the Sunday. This didnt stop her jumping a fantastic double clear in the Blue Chip Qualifier to win!! Well done Hannah and Mags

Howe COuntry Centre, 11th April 10
Well done to Hannah and Mags who finished 4th in the British Novice with a lovely double clear.

Carlton Manutu (Pheonix) owned by the Aitken Family, Ayr

Champions of Scotland, 4th July 2010
Trevor has taken over the reins of Pheonix for Nanette Aitken. Nanette unfortunately had to get her appendix out a metter of days after getting her new horse. Pheonix jumped a lovely double clear in the 1.05m Championship to finish a very creditable 4th place - much to the delight of his owners. Hopefully Nanette will be back on in a few weeks to continue with the success!

SNEC, 17th July 2010
Pheonix was a good boy again today, he was unlucky just to rub one fence in the 1.05m open.

Arena UK, 23-26 July 10
Pheonix enjoyed his trip to Arena UK and jumped very well, and picked up his rosette in a strong newcomers class.

The Cabin Equestrian Centre, 30-31 July 10
Pheonix is well in the swing of travelling to the shows now and loved his trip to Aberdeen. On the Friday he won the newcomers in fine style. On the Saturday he was second in the 1.05 m open and then went onto finish a close second in the 1.10 m Scottish HOYS qualifier. It was lovely to see Nanette, Ronnie and the kids up in Aberdeen supporting Pheonix in his classes on the Saturday.

Olivetti, Chestnut Gelding owned by Louise Nelson of Stewarton

SNEC, 17th July 2010
Louise has kindly handed over the reins of Olli to me once again until she gets her new truck. I used to jump Olli a few years back and I am glad to be back riding him again. This was Ollis first show in a year and my first with him in about 3 years! We did the 1.05m open and had 4 faults, followed by a great clear round in the 1.10m open. We were all set for having a run against the clock but were unlucky just to rub the back bar of the first fence!

Arena UK, 23-26 July 10
Trevor took Ollie down to Arena UK for me to come and jump him on the Sunday and Monday. On the Sunday we were third in the 1.15m Scope Qualifier, in which he jumped a fast double clear. On the Monday we were tenth in a hotly contested 1.25m open.

The Cabin Equestrian Centre, 30-31 July 10
Ollie jumped fantastically at the Cabin, on the Friday we should have won the 1.20m open, we were 2 secs faster and were so unlucky just to touch the last fence in the jump off. On the Saturday I decided to jump him in the 1.40m Scottish North Championship. He jumped a class round and just went a bit too high into the first double so had to flatten a little to come out, then on the distance just rubbed the next fence also, but I was delighted with the way he jumped as it was the biggest he has jumped in a long time and also the strongest track I have ridden since my accident. He then got a well deserved day off on Sunday.

Ingliston, 15th Aug 2010
Ollie jumped a cracking double clear in the 1.20m Grand Prix and finished a close 2nd place.

Rowallan, 22nd Aug 10
Ollie and I headed off to Rowallan for a wee pop round the 1.15m open just before heading off to Scope next week. Ollie jumped a lovely double clear to finish in a close 2nd place.

Quiberon D (Q), 16.3hh Dark Bay Gelding owned by Billy McKechnie and Gael Coia

The Cabin Equestrian Centre
I have been lucky enough to take over the ride of Q for a couple of weeks, and we travelled to Aberdeen for our first show together. On the Friday we won the 1.10m open in fine style and then were unlucky just to touch a fence in the 1.20m open. On the Saturday we jumped the 1.40m Scottish North Championship in preparation for next weekends Foxhunter regional final. This was a big ask for Q as he has only ever jumped a couple of 1.30m opens. He was jumping an outstading round until the third last fence he just went a little high and touched the back bar, I then was thinking of a fast 4 faults to get in the prizes, and turned him really tightly back the the 2nd last fence and just touched it behind. However, both Billy and Gael and also myself were delighted with the way he jumped and are really looking forward to next weekend.

Dumfries, 7th August 2010
Q jumped a cracking first round clear in the HOYS Grade C qualifier. In the jump off we had to have a go as they were flying, we had a cracking turn across the 2nd fence and tight back to the third but we were really unlucky just to rub it.

Ingliston, 9th August 2010
This was our one and only attempt at the Foxhunter 2nd rounds and it nearly worked out! We jumped a great first round clear, and were on for another in the 2nd round, until Q just tipped the very last fence. I was mixed between being gutted as he didnt deserve it and delighted as it was only our 2nd weekend together!

Ingliston, 13th-15th August 2010
Q had another superb weekend, on the Friday we just jumped the 1.30m open and he jumped a lovely double clear to finish in 2nd place. We had Saturday off and then jumped the 1.30m Grand Prix on the Sunday. Again he jumped a great double clear again to be just pipped to finish in 2nd place again.
